This Privacy Policy explains how The Lyoness Group (“we,” “us,” or
“our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Off Book!
mobile application (the “App”). Off Book! helps actors record, rehearse, and memorize
their lines, and includes an optional LineSync feature that lets a
director share lines and recordings with their cast.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in
this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. If you use LineSync, you create an account
with an email address and password. Authentication is handled by
Google Firebase Authentication.
- Your content. The shows, scenes, characters, lines, and
audio recordings you create. Recordings and line text used with
LineSync are stored in our backend so they can be shared with the cast you invite.
Content you do not sync stays on your device.
- Cast details. When you invite cast members, the character names,
actor names, and email addresses you enter to send invitations.
Information collected automatically
- Identifiers. A user account identifier (used to associate your
content with your account) and a device advertising identifier used by our
advertising partner.
- Advertising & usage data. In the free, ad-supported version of
the App, our advertising partner may collect advertising data, product-interaction
data, and approximate (coarse) location to serve and measure ads.
- Diagnostics. Crash and performance data to help us keep the App
stable.
- Purchases. Records of in-app subscription entitlements (which
LineSync shows are active and for how long) so the feature works across your
devices. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment-card
information.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the App's core features — recording, rehearsing, and
syncing lines and recordings between a director and their cast.
- To authenticate you and keep your content associated with your account.
- To display and measure advertising in the free version of the App.
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance and reliability.
- To manage in-app purchases and subscription entitlements.

Tracking & advertising
In the free version, the App uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may use a device
advertising identifier and advertising data to deliver and measure ads, which Apple
defines as “tracking.” On first launch we ask for your permission through Apple's
App Tracking Transparency prompt, and (where required) we present a
consent form before serving personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and manage ad-consent options
from within the App's Settings screen.
Removing ads. If you purchase the one-time “Remove Ads” option, the App
stops showing ads and does not run the advertising or tracking flow.
How information is shared
- With your cast. Lines and recordings you sync through LineSync are
shared with the director and cast members you invite to that show.
- With service providers. With the third-party services listed above,
solely to provide the functionality described.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or
the public.
Data retention
We keep your account information and synced content for as long as your account is
active or as needed to provide the App. You can request deletion of your account and
associated synced data by contacting us (see below). Content stored only on your device
is removed when you delete it or uninstall the App.
Your choices & rights
- Decline or revoke ad tracking via iOS Settings, as described above.
- Choose not to use LineSync, in which case no account is created and your content
stays on your device.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting
us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the
GDPR or CCPA.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal
information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated”
date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
